Directions
From the Newport Visitor Center
Come out of the parking area and take a right. At the stop light, take a
right onto America's Cup Ave. America's Cup will swing into Memorial Blvd
going up a hill. Take a left onto Bellevue Ave and then take a right onto
Old Beach Road. Our house is the yellowish-green with white trim on the
corner of Sunnyside Place and Old Beach. Take a right into the driveway and
ring the doorbell.
From Providence/ Western Massachusetts/T. F. Green Airport
(Call us in the Providence area to let us know you are coming.) Take 95 South to Rte 4 (Exit will be on your left) Rte. 4 turns into Rte.
1. Take the Rte. 138 exit. Follow Rte. 138 over the Jamestown Verrazano
Bridge and Newport
Pell Bridge (Newport Bridge has a $2.00 toll). Take the first exit ramp off the
Newport Bridge. PAY ATTENTION AND READ AHEAD. At the end of the ramp, take a right. At the first set of
lights where the gas station and cemetery are, take a left onto Van Zandt Ave. Go straight until you hit Broadway.
Take a left onto Broadway and then take your first right onto Gibbs Ave. Go
down several stop signs and take a right onto Old Beach Road. We are the

in the driveway or on Sunnyside Place on the right.
From New York/ D.C./Maryland/New Jersey/Pennsylvania/Connecticut/
(Call us when you cross over the RI line from CT to let us know you are

for several miles. A few miles after you pass URI, you will come to a major
intersection with a gas station on the corner in which you will take a left.
(This is where Rte 138 E and Rte 1 N merge.) Rte 138 E will split off again
2 miles down so look for the only exit on the right hand side that will
direct you to Newport & Jamestown. It is at the base of a hill on a curve so
drive slow. Follow Rte. 138 over the Jamestown Verrazano Bridge and Newport
Pell Bridge (Newport Bridge has a $2.00 toll). Take the first exit ramp off
the Newport Bridge. PAY ATTENTION AND READ AHEAD. At the end of the ramp,
take a right. At the first set of lights where the gas station and cemetery
are, take a left onto Van Zandt Ave. Go straight until you hit Broadway.
Take a left onto Broadway and then take your first right onto Gibbs Ave. Go

From Boston/ Maine/Vermont/Canada/New Hampshire
(Call use around the Boston area to let us know you are coming.) Take 93 South to Rte. 24 South. (Be careful as Rte 24 turns onto Rte 195
West for 1 Exit and then you must take your first exit, which is exit 8, to continue on Rte
24.) Rte. 24 South turns into Rte. 114 South. Follow Rte. 114 South through
Portsmouth and Middletown. Rte. 114 South turns into Broadway at the

is parking in the driveway or on the right side of Sunnyside Place.
Fly to Rhode Island! The T.F. Green Airport (PVD)
is only 38 miles from Newport. You can find flights on the following
airlines: US Airways,
United,
Continental,
Southwest,
New England Airlines,
SATA,
Spirit,
Northwest,
Delta,
Cape Air, Air Canada and
American Airlines. Though flying is good if
you are traveling from great distances, we normally do not recommend it if
you are traveling from within 400 miles for Rhode Island. It can
sometimes take longer to fly. For example, when you factor in getting to the
airport, check in, luggage claim, renting a car, etc, it actually takes
longer (and cost more) to fly to Rhode Island from Washington D.C. than if
you were to drive the 7.5 hours. Though there are some exceptions so you
might want to check Travelzoo,
Expedia,
AAA, Cheaptickets, or
Cheapoair.com to see
what is best for your area.
